Within the framework of agreements signed in June 2018 with the Government of the Ryazan Region on the development of machine-tool construction, BPK invests heavily in the technical re-equipment and modernization of the machine-tool plant Sasta and the Sasovo Foundry.

Sasovo Foundry

• Delivery of a new melting plant with a capacity of 3.5 tons is expected. This will allow to produce castings of cast iron weighing up to 6200 kg. In addition, it will be possible to duplicate the Inductotherm smelter in operation.

• The existing Inductotherm smelter is being upgraded: replacement of the cooling system, transformer, inductors and refractory plates.

• A new cooling tower is being commissioned, which will significantly increase productivity, especially in the summer, and eliminate downtime.

• Work is underway to build a new annealing chamber with a length of 8 meters.

• New equipment was purchased and installed in the factory laboratory, which will allow, as a result of even more accurate analyzes and tests, to almost completely eliminate the possibility of manufacturing defects.

• Reconstruction of the roof of the foundry and general cosmetic repairs are underway.

Machine-Tool plant Sasta

• A T6000 water jet cutting machine manufactured by F.O.R.T., Russia, was commissioned at the welding and procurement area. Hydroabrasive cutting has a number of indisputable advantages over thermal types of metal cutting. This is the absence of heating of the cut blanks, that is, there is no thermal effect on the material, which excludes thermal stresses and deformations of the material being processed. Ultimately, this prevents hardening, warping and contamination by elements such as harmful fumes and gases inherent in other types of cutting during processing. And one more important plus - there is no dustiness. To date, this machine has allowed us to increase the thickness of the sheet processed to 150 mm.

• The new BySmart Fiber 3015x2000 mm CNC laser cutting machine manufactured by Switzerland is launched and is functioning. This equipment allowed to increase the thickness of the sheet material to be processed up to 12 mm, as well as to expand its range, including the processing of stainless steel and sheets of non-ferrous metal.

• Promau S.R.l roll bending machine is expected to be delivered, produced by DAVI, Italy MCA 2520. Working shaft length - 2550 mm, maximum bending thickness sheet - 8 mm.

• Recruitment for workers and administrative specialties.

• The system of industrial practice was launched for the universities and secondary specialized educational institutions of the city of Sasovo and the Ryazan region, the Moscow State Technological University "Stankin" and St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Peter the Great.
